Welcome!
Welcome to the Trinity Episcopal
Church (Arlington, VA) first Annual Golf Classic. The
tournament, which benefits the church, will be held on May 19, 2008
at Penderbrook
Golf Club in Fairfax County, Virginia. Registration is now open
for tournament teams, single players or, for those not interested in
playing golf, we will be offering games & gathering.
Trinity Church’s (trinitychurcharlington.org)
beginnings can be traced to Arlington Chapel, a chapel for slaves erected
on the Arlington Estate in the early 1700’s by George Washington
Parke Custis – the adopted son of our first president. Today,
Trinity has one of the most diverse congregations in the Episcopal Diocese
of Virginia. The Church’s current Georgian structure was dedicated
in 1957 before the need for handicapped accessibility was widely recognized.
In 2003, the parish added a two part ramp to the entrance system to
the Church and a handicapped accessible bathroom. This event is in part
a fundraiser for these accessibility improvements.
The Columbia Pike Community Chorus
was established as an outreach program of Trinity Church in fall 2004.
Our vision: to provide an opportunity for people of all ethnicities,
belief systems and musical abilities to come together with their neighbors
in an experience that would promote unity, friendship and fun. Open
to all, the Chorus welcomes new and returning singers from all over
the Northern Virginia area.
Thank you for your support!
